With the announcements of Windows 10 being offered as a free upgrade to all Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users, the importance of applications supporting this operating system should not be underestimated. NovaBACKUP has consistently been Microsoft-ready, supporting the latest Windows operating systems shortly after they release – and Windows 10 is no exception.

NovaBACKUP 17 Users

All NovaBACKUP customers running version 17, are now eligible for a FREE update to NovaBACKUP 17.1, which will support Windows 10. All NovaBACKUP customers with active NovaCare, are always entitled to download the latest version of NovaBACKUP products and receive local support. How to get your FREE update: Customers that qualify for this free product update will receive an email notification with their new download link. To ensure that all qualifying customers are aware that they are entitled to a free update, an in-product announcement will also be shown within NovaBACKUP to provide a link for product updates. Customers can also go directly to our upgrade page and enter their key to download their free product update to NovaBACKUP 17.1.804 now.

Customers with older NovaBACKUP versions

Support for Windows 10 will not be available for older versions of NovaBACKUP products. Our software development team is focused on the current version of our software, and thus we cannot guarantee the stable functioning of older versions of NovaBACKUP on Windows 10. If you are using an older version of NovaBACKUP and you are planning on updating your operating system to Windows 10, you can take advantage of our NovaCare Amnesty program, which will allow you to get your NovaBACKUP software updated to the latest version and give you a full year of support and upgrade protection. This program has been extended through August 15th, in light of this new release and as a result of customer requests. This program will not be extended again so you should act now.  NovaBACKUP 17.1 is now available with support for Windows 10, so you will receive the most updated version. While this release also includes some minor bug fixes, there are not any major functionality changes other than the support for Windows 10.
